Antoinette Pauline Loezere - "Tony" to family and friends was born March 30, 1920 in New York City - the youngest of four sisters.

As a child, her family moved to France where they traveled extensively throughout the continent. She returned to New York to attend Barnard College and post graduation was awarded a scholarship to the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in Boston.

When World Ward II broke out Tony became one of the first WAC's and was assigned to the Pentagon as a second Lieutenant. Following the war, she began a career as an Intelligence Specialist in Middle Eastern and African Affairs until she retired with the rank of Major.

Fluent in French and Spanish, Tony spent her retirement years as an interpreter/escort with the State Department and with the Meridian International Center, Washington, D.C. Tony was a member of the Women's Club of Falls Church, a longtime volunteer at Fairfax Hospital and a singer and frequent soloist with the Virginian Aires. She had a passion for family, travel, and people. Tony loved to read and could complete the New York Times crossword puzzles in under 15 minutes well into her nineties!

She is survived by her sister, Lily L. O'Brien of Falls Church, and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the charity of your choice.
