Elise Nelson Quigley Chrisco, "Cissie"

Beloved mother, grandmother, neighbor, army wife, and friend died Sunday, March 22nd in her McLean, Va. home from breast cancer, she was 84. The Louisville, Kentucky native moved frequently as a military wife, but spent the last 52 years in Franklin Park, a neighborhood she dearly loved. She taught high school English, dabbled in real estate, and worked at a pre-school but her biggest passion was her almost 40 years of service as an Arlington Lady,a volunteer organization at Arlington National Cemetery, that makes sure no solider is ever buried alone. For her dedicated service the United States Army awarded her the "Commander's Award for Public Service", an "Outstanding Civilian Service Medal" and the Washington Army Chapter "Helping Hand Award".

She is survived by her daughter, Julie Chrisco Andrews, son-in-law Michael Andrews and grandson Mac Andrews of Washington, D.C. A celebration of her life, funeral service and burial will at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Visit online guestbook at murphyfuneralhomes.com.
